KinderCare offers free child care for voters

October 26, 2020

Portland, Ore. (October 26, 2020) – As early voting continues across the country, KinderCare Education, the nation’s largest private provider of early childhood and school-age education and care, today announced that it is offering families a free day of care in its more than 1,500 centers nationwide. Families can take advantage of this free day of child care starting today through the end of the year for children six weeks to 12 years old.

“Now more than ever, families need support,” said Tom Wyatt, CEO of KinderCare. “Whether that means having time to go to their polling place to vote in the upcoming election, shopping for the holidays or simply taking a day for themselves, the gift of care for their children means more now than ever. Because our programs have industry-leading health and safety practices, families can rest assured their children are being cared for in the safest place possible.”

All KinderCare centers are operating with enhanced health and safety protocols that were created in partnership with expert medical advisors to ensure they are the safest learning environments possible. And these practices are working: KinderCare’s center transmission rates are just a fraction of the national average. A recent study by Yale University confirmed that child care centers do not pose a risk of transmission to communities. In fact, child care centers are among the safest places for children due to the stringent protocols in place.

KinderCare provides best-in-class curriculum to help children learn and grow. National studies show that KinderCare children are better prepared for first grade. They also confirm that the longer that children are enrolled in KinderCare programs, the sooner they achieve key developmental milestones.

Families with children between the ages of six weeks and 6th grade may sign up for a free day at KinderCare centers across the country. For more information, please visit http://kindercare.com/lp/free-day-election-day.
